Jonathan Duhamel Runner Up at PCA $25k High Roller Event

2012 PCA High Roller Event Winner Alexey Bilokur

Canadian superstar Jonathan Duhamel was the runner up at the PCA 25k High Roller Event and lost in heads up play to winner Alexey Bilokur from the Ukraine.  Bilokur took home $1,134,930 and Duhamel $634,550 which capped of an excellent run for the Canadian at this years PCA.

2012 PCA Main Event: Winner and Results

John Dibella wins the 2012 PCA Main Event

After 6 days of play, the final table of the 2012 PCA Main Event has wrapped up and winner John Dibella was able to beat out three Canadians to claim first prize. Dibella made a deal with runner up Kyle Julius and they both took home $1.5 million.

There are three Canadian players at the PCA final table: David Bernstein, Mark Drover, and female player Xuan Liu of Toronto who only trails chip leader Faraz Jaka by the slimmest of margins. Jonathan Duhamel Wins PCA 5K NLH Event

Canadian Jonathan Duhamel has won the 5K Event at the 2012 PCA
Well maybe this is a case of karma at work but Jonathan Duhamel has won the 5k NLH Event at the PCA (PokerStars Caribbean Adventure) and netted himself $239,000 in the process. The win could not have come at a better time for the Canadian because he recently was the victim of a home invasion robbery involving his ex girlfriend.

The 2012 Alberta Poker Championship marks the 9th time the tournament series will be hosted at Casino Edmonton, in Alberta, Canada. This year’s Championship series will be made up of 4 tournaments and two “Super-Satellites” that will take place January 15th-22nd.

The The Grand Loto-Quebec has announced their sponsorship of a $25,000 buy-in tournament that is headlining as “the most prestigious tournament ever to take place in Canada“, and with a buy-in like that, who can blame them. It will take place on May 19th and May 20th at the Casino Lac-Leamy, Quebec.

The 2011 BC Poker Championships have wrapped up at the River Rock Casino in Richmond BC, and we have the results and winners for you here. An interesting fact about the 2011 BC Poker Championships is that all of the tournament winners are home town favourites from BC, with two of them coming from the city of Burnaby! Contgratulations to George Zawadzki of Bown Island for winning event #1, Terry Tsang of Burnaby for winning Event #2, Rajpeep Pundi of Vancouver for winning the Main Event #3, and Tri Huynh of Burnaby for winning the “High Roller” Event #4!
