The storied Canadian Poker player Daniel Negreanu fell short in his bid for a WSOP Main Event bracelet when he busted out in 11th place, not quite the ‘Bubble Boy’ but close to it. Daniel still collected $526,778, slthough a WSOP Main Event bracelet surely meant more than the money.
Along with being the face of Canadian poker, Daniel Negreanu is the all-time leading tournament money earner, and is considered an ambassador for the game.
“I think the biggest disappointment is thinking about all the extracurricular things I could have done as part of the November Nine, up the ratings and get people involved. From that aspect, it would have been great if I had made it, but I wasn’t going to alter my play in such a way that I would just squeak in. I was going for the win.” –Daniel Negreanu
